Invitations & Requests

For Faculty:

I’m always happy to visit courses to present highlights from my published work. This presentation could focus on a specific published article or provide an overview of my Spectacular Listening work, which encompasses many case studies about listening, disability, and digital cultures.

I’m also eager to help graduate students find career pathways beyond faculty-track jobs. I’m happy to visit graduate courses (for free) to deliver a presentation or workshop that helps students navigate alternative careers.

For Students:

If you’re seeking a letter of recommendation, then I ask that you send me an email that contains the following: courses you took with me, angle for the letter, due dates, and relevant application documents (e.g., resume or C.V.). I typically need four weeks advance notice.

If you’re requesting guidance on applying for graduate school, a particular academic program, or general inquiries about an academic project, then I’m happy to set up a 30-minute phone or Zoom call to discuss.
